Declining, damaged, or otherwise dangerous trees can be an eyesore or worse. We can help reduce the risk of damage with preventative measures or clean up the mess.
Removals
Sometimes it’s just gotta happen. We can carefully remove the tree that has to go with care, compassion and respect for all involved.
a word from the climber/Owner/Operator
Hello and thank you for your support of mindful arboriculture! I’m Molly Given, and I got into the tree business mostly by accident but wouldn’t change a thing. After spending some years on the ground running a rake and hauling brush, I got the opportunity to step into the saddle and learn the climbing trade in and around the Cascade foothills in the shadow of Mt Baker with really awesome teachers and fellow tree people. Now living on the other side of the sea on the Kitsap Peninsula, I started picking up my saws again doing little jobs to help friends and rekindled my love of working in trees.
MacAulay Tree Works was born, from the ground up, at first just me and my saws and saddle and ropes and wits, growing a little bit at a time to reach higher, so very much like a tree.
So what’s with the name? I chose MacAulay to honor the inspiring courageous wild card that was my great grandmother Ruth MacAulay. She passed when I was a tiny baby sapling, but I know she would’ve approved.
